A note from our Founder
Purpose Doula was born from my own lived tension — the deep love and responsibility of motherhood alongside the call to lead, build, and become.
Hi! I’m Rachel D., a social impact leader, educator, and mother. Throughout my career, I’ve built programs and communities centered on leadership and opportunity. And like so many women — especially Black and Brown mothers — I found myself navigating spaces that honored ambition but overlooked care, and spaces that centered motherhood while leaving little room for growth beyond it. I rarely saw environments that made space for the fullness of who we are.
So I created Purpose Doula to be that space.
A place where leadership and motherhood are not in conflict.
Where ambition is nurtured without anxiety.
Where growth happens in community, not in isolation.
Just as a doula walks alongside women through transformation, Purpose Doula exists to support women through seasons of becoming — honoring both who you’re raising and who you’re becoming.
This collective is rooted in reflection, connection, and wholeness. It’s designed for real life and real seasons — for women building beyond one role while holding care at the center.
My hope is that when you enter this space, you feel seen, supported, and strengthened — and that you find both rest and momentum here.
Welcome to the circle.
I’m so glad you’re here.
— Rachel D.
